The iPhone 17
Apple has just announced its brand new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's three upgrades to familiar models as well as the all-new iPhone 17 Air, which replaces the iPhone Plus. If camping out on release day isn’t really your style, but you still want to secure one at the earliest opportunity, you will be able to pre-order the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone Air from 10pm AEST on September 12th, before the September 19 release date. The iPhone 17 boasts a redesigned look with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and thinner borders. And after much anticipation (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Internally, Apple’s new A19 chip is quicker and more efficient, particularly when teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you will experience a huge increase in speed and better gaming performance courtesy of ProMotion.
Camera wise, you will find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also receives an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography sharper and much more detailed.
